Why I can't name the procedure I had done on social media…

I just recently posted a TikTok video of my health journey. On there I was vague about the procedure I had done. Some may think I did that to get more action on my blog or Instagram. While there is a little truth in that because I want there to be a large awareness for Lyme Disease/Breast Implant Illness. It really was because my account got flagged last year when I used a breast implant illness hashtag in a post I was boosting on Instagram. Immediately my account was shadowbanned and to this day they won't barely push any of my content.

I'm writing about this to raise awareness, and I personally believe if you're a small account and you try to share something as controversial as breast implant illness they will try and silence you.

I did a little experiment and had a family member just look up the hashtag breast implant illness on a social media platform and within seconds her account was disabled from following people nor could she make comments/likes on posts. We gave it days to see if it would go back to normal and it didn't. She had to get a new account. I don't think that's a coincidence.

I find it very interesting that even looking up the hashtag breast implant illness can get your account flagged. Hers was a new account. It makes me wonder if those are the most vulnerable. They will shut them up right out of the gate.

So that's why I won't use the hashtag nor will I come out and say breast implant illness anywhere but here on my own personal website. I will have to get creative to get the word out. Otherwise, If I don't I could possibly lose my ability to share my story at all and help people. Let's face it, how to reach people these days is through social media wether we like it or not!

I write this to raise awareness. Awareness that women explanting their breast implants are on the rise. Women are getting sick and social media doesn't want to promote that! I've seen ads for breast implants on Instagram. One being from a country music singer/actress. So of course, they want to silence women because if we speak out their pocketbooks will greatly suffer.

I wouldn't be helping others if I kept silent about my battle with breast implant illness/ lyme disease. I pray people will find my story. If you haven't read about my whole health journey check out part one on my blog. There are 4 parts. I need to do a current update as well, I will work on that soon.

With all that said I have to be honest, I'm even nervous that I went too far writing this blog post. I'm nervous I released a video that I directed you here to read something controversial. They still may try and silence me.

Wondering how to help? Be sure to go follow me on Instagram (also follow my backup account @maplemillfarm) and share because they are not pushing my content there at all. It's only going to be through people like you reading this now that my story will get out on that platform to help others. Follow and share my TikTok too!

I also want to mention I’m a Christian and share content about that as well, which in today's world I believe isn't getting pushed either on social media. So I've got quite the trifecta going on, Christian speaking about Lyme Disease/Breast Implant Illness and a faith-based horse ministry! Oh my, I've got my work cut out for me to be heard, I can use all the help I can get!

I thank each person for reading this. Let's all raise awareness for breast implant illness and Lyme Disease. People are suffering and sharing our personal battles becomes someone elses lifeline. Let’s not be silenced!

Love, Melissa
