Behr
Behr passed away on 8-15-2024. He started my love for horses, and we had a strong bond. He wasn't an expensive showhorse. He was a $500 Craigslist special who was severely underweight, scared, lonely, and starving when we found him. I knew that day I couldn't leave him and brought him home. He never had to endure neglect again. Due to the poor care he received in his life before we got him, he had to be retired from riding. Behrs' new job was to bring us joy, and man, he did it so well. He was the king of the pasture, grandfather to the younger horses teaching them how to mind. I was his absolute favorite person and at the end of his life he only wanted me to care for him. Though I love ALL my horses so much the bond I had with Behr was so strong and special it leaves a hole in my heart. But, he also reminds me why I keep taking horses in and loving them. Just think of all I would of missed had I not taken Behr home eight years ago. I would of missed having in my opinion the greatest horse to ever live. I miss him EVERYDAY.
